Oil, Gas & Hydrogen Transport

Production of pipelines for the transportation of Oil, Gas and Hydrogen requires stringent quality control to avoid costly premature failures after deployment. A new technology in this field is thermoplastic composite pipes (TCP), which are produced by winding several layers the fiber tape around an inner core liner. The correct placement of the tape is critical to the properties of the final produced pipe. Ceyeborg supports pioneers in this field to automate the process of tape placement using its proprietary AI-based computer vision technology. Ceyeborg also enables its partners to record and retrace all production parameters of each pipe produced using our database technology. Each meter of pipe produced can be visualized in the Web-based UI to retrace its parameters during production, giving customers the confidence in knowing the exact conditions that segment of pipe was produced in.

Oil, Gas & Hydrogen Transport

Ceyeborg uses AI-based computer vision for monitoring and sending control signals to maintain production parameters of the winding process over the PLC of the production line. The parameters of the pipe production are stored in Ceyeborg’s database software and made accessible to customers of the pipe, in order to improve transparency and share the production parameters of each produced pipe. Ceyeborg also constructs the custom hardware monitoring stations and their corresponding electronic control units (ECUs) to integrate the dynamically movable camera sensors into the production line of its partners.

One key aspect is the implementation of Unique Device Identification (UDI) codes, which are standardized identifiers assigned to medical devices and their packaging.
